Book of Enoch

The “Book of Enoch” that exists today, is an example of what scholars refer to as psuedopygrapha, or “false writings”. It can be found at various book stores, but there is a very significant reason why it isn’t found in our Bibles.

 

However, I have found that some feel that because Gen 6:2 and Jude 1:14 quotes Enoch, the entire book should be valid. But there are powerful reasons why this book is not part of our Bible.

 

Searching out Scriptures and searching out the Spirit of God is the heart and core of a man who truly desires an intimate relationship with his creator.  In His search, God will pour out Truth upon such a man, as He pours out His Spirit and the Spirit of discernment upon him who asks of Him. He will never deny such a man the desires of his heart.

 

As a Spirit filled Christian who has been reading the Bible for years, I don’t need to look very deep into the “Book of Enoch” to know that something is very wrong.  There are so many obvious flaws with this alleged missing book of God's Word.  It is clear to me that someone copied some scriptures from the Bible and inserted them into this, what I consider to be garbage.

 

I don’t mince words about this. I fear for men’s souls who are subverted by the wickedness that they can be drawn into believing, if they aren’t prepared for the crafty presentation of this false writing.

 

The same type of mumbo-jumbo can be readily observed in the Qur'an.  I do NOT believe that Enoch, who lived during the time period of Genesis, wrote this manuscript.  Evidently the compilers of our modern day Scriptures didn't believe so either, and for good reason. 

 

Without a doubt the forces of evil working within men continue relentlessly to corrupt or altogether replace God's Word with their own evil imaginations. And the Book of Enoch is most certainly filled with evil imaginations.

 

This wickedness within men, even at the beginning, was so severe as to cause God to drown them all with a massive flood. His Beautiful Creation, Adam, the Man created in His image, turned to wickedness and corruption of his own choosing right at the beginning in the Garden of Eden, and so also did his descendents corrupt themselves continuously down through time. 

 

THAT is the greatest evil that has EVER occurred before God’s Eternal Throne. THAT is what the “wicked one” is in Scripture. The multitudes of men immersed in their own evil thoughts and evil deeds and evil words are “the wicked”.

 

The Beautiful Wisdom filled Bride of Christ is ‘multitudes’. The antagonist or enemy, is that utterly foolish and wicked serpent/devil/Satan is ‘multitudes.

 

Both of these allegories are equally presented throughout scripture, consistently.

 

They are “Personifications”. The Bride is Wisdom, and the Devil is wickedness.

 

No doubt, that whatever Enoch wrote prior to God destroying men from off the face of that country, that writing wasn’t spared from being twisted and perverted by that same wickedness that caused God to destroy the wicked men responsible for “turning the truth of God into a lie” thereby robbing God of His Betrothed.

 

In these apostate times, the Word of God is under attack like never before.  We MUST know what is true and what is the work of the ‘devil’.

 

The Book of Enoch teaches Heresy.

 

To the Biblically ignorant reader, the Book of Enoch might have an appeal; but to a believer grounded in the Scriptures, the Book of Enoch is packed full of fiction and perversion.  For example we read in chapter 40 of the Book of Enoch:

 

1 And after that I saw thousands of thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand, I saw a multitude 2 beyond number and reckoning, who stood before the Lord of Spirits. And on the four sides of the Lord of Spirits I saw four presences, different from those that sleep not, and I learnt their names: for the angel that went with me made known to me their names, and showed me all the hidden things. 3 And I heard the voices of those four presences as they uttered praises before the Lord of glory. 4 The first voice blesses the Lord of Spirits for ever and ever. 5 And the second voice I heard blessing 6 the Elect One and the elect ones who hang upon the Lord of Spirits. And the third voice I heard pray and intercede for those who dwell on the earth and supplicate in the name of the Lord of Spirits. 7 And I heard the fourth voice fending off the Satans and forbidding them to come before the Lord  8 of Spirits to accuse them who dwell on the earth. After that I asked the angel of peace who went with me, who showed me everything that is hidden: ‘Who are these four presences which I have 9 seen and whose words I have heard and written down?’ And he said to me: ‘This first is Michael, the merciful and long-suffering: and the second, who is set over all the diseases and all the wounds of the children of men, is Raphael: and the third, who is set over all the powers, is Gabriel: and the fourth, who is set over the repentance unto hope of those who inherit eternal life, is named Phanuel.’ 10 And these are the four angels of the Lord of Spirits and the four voices I heard in those days.

 

Holy Scriptures never mentions an angel named Phanuel, let alone an angel who is set over the repentance of those who inherit eternal life.  This is altogether blasphemy.  That statement in itself contradicts everything the Word of God teaches.  We read in 1st Timothy 2:5 that Jesus Christ is the ONLY Mediator between God and men, not some angel named Phanuel... "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."  Repentance is strictly between a man and Jesus Christ alone.  Only Jesus died for our sins, and shed His blood to pay for them (1st Peter 1:18-19); therefore, we must be diligent to guard and defend against LIARS and imposters who would teach otherwise.  1st John 2:22 clearly points out the seriousness of those guilty as LIARS, guilty before God.

 

Dear friend, whoever might tell you that this book was inspired of God and is the preserved Word even unto today, is truly a Liar.

 

Galations 1:6, I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel.

 

The book of Enoch puts forth that those attributes that ARE Jesus Christ, (merciful, longsuffering, healer of diseases and wounds, Powerful, Forgiving, and the “granter of life”…), are NOT really of Him, but of these four ‘angels’.

 

This is blasphemy. This is way removed from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When one teaching out of that book is in serious apostasy as is the above, what more proof would one need that the entire book is spurious?

 

But there is plenty more if we need to examine.

 

Chapter 48:1-3:1 And in that place I saw the fountain of righteousness which was inexhaustible: And around it were many fountains of wisdom: And all the thirsty drank of them, And were filled with wisdom, And their dwellings were with the righteous and holy and elect.  2 And at that hour that Son of Man was named In the presence of the Lord of Spirits, And his name before the Head of Days.  3 Yea, before the sun and the signs were created, Before the stars of the heaven were made, His name was named before the Lord of Spirits.

 

When was the son of man “named”? Was “Jesus” named in Heaven? Jesus wasn’t named until the Angel Gabriel told Mary to Name Him (Matt 1:21-25).

 

Or what other ‘Name’ can we mean? Even when we read in prophecy concerning the Name of this coming Saviour, it is said, “He Shall be called…” in the future, when born… Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

 

Or are we to somehow try to comprehend that He was somehow “named” before He was actually “Named”??

 

Or is it the “Christ” we are talking about? Can we say His Name is Christ? First Name Jesus, last name Christ? Even if we were to attempt to comprehend it that way we run into trouble for the “Christ” is God Himself anointing the man Jesus. This Christ is eternal and without beginning as He Himself claimed in Revelation 1:8, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."  The Christ is Eternal, without beginning or end. 

 

Head of Days?  Lord of Spirits?  These terms are NOT found in the Bible.  IF the Book of Enoch were valid, composing well over 100 chapters, there should be numerous New Testament references to it; but there are very very few.  In fact, there is no mention of a “Book of Enoch”. Although some people claim that the Bible quotes the Book of Enoch several times, this is simply not true.  Just as the Qur'an, the Book of Enoch borrows from the Word of God.  I am not surprised in the least that this has been going on for many millennia in different languages. Many people were as apostate from sound truth in days of old, just as they are today.

 

Jude’s quote was obviously from Enoch for he says so. But he doesn’t claim to quote a book. It is an assumption to do so. But even if he was quoting a manuscript in his possession, it by no means would have resembled this modern day Book of Enoch.  Quotes like this do not validate the rest of the content of this present day book. No they do NOT. For it is quite obvious that the lion’s share of that book in it’s present form, is psuedopygrapha and not inspired from God.

 

Another example of the blatant perversion found in the Book of Enoch, chapter 69:8-12: 8 ...And the fourth was named Penemue: he taught the  9 children of men the bitter and the sweet, and he taught them all the secrets of their wisdom. And he instructed mankind in writing with ink and paper, and thereby many sinned from eternity to 10 eternity and until this day. For men were not created for such a purpose, to give confirmation 11 to their good faith with pen and ink. For men were created exactly like the angels, to the intent that they should continue pure and righteous, and death, which destroys everything, could not have taken hold of them, but through this their knowledge they are perishing, and through this power
12 it is consuming me.

 

What ... man's wisdom came from a demon named Penemue?  That's ridiculous.  Did ink and paper cause the fall of the human race?

  

It was Adam's sin that brought sin into the world (Romans 5:12); not evil literature.  Mankind is inherently evil of himself, prone to the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).  Those operating under delusion in the churches give far too much credit to demons for the sinful actions of men.  Especially the charismatics and Pentecostals who believe that every sin a person commits and sickness by which they are afflicted is evidence of demon-possession. This teaching is severely absurd.  Men and women sin, get sick and die because they are sinners! (Romans 3:10,23).  These people need to stop blaming demons and the Devil for their own sins and mortality, and start looking into the mirror. Any teaching that might perpetuate their belief in these demons and their ‘effects’ upon people is in grave error. 

 

God has promised to help His children live right... "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it" (1st Corinthians 10:13).  We have NO excuses and NO right to lay off to “demons” or a supernatural ‘Devil’ the reason for the existence of evil. No, not in our lives, nor in the lives of any other creature in God’s creation.

 

The book of Enoch speaks nonsense as opposed to Holy Scripture speaking great Wisdom and Truth.

As you read the Book of Enoch, you will notice a big difference between it and the genuine Word of God.  The Bible is readable, from cover to cover, it tells a story. It is the “Gospel” from front to back. It is a golden thread of consistent, ‘God-breathed’ meaning.

 

In sharp contrast, the Book of Enoch appears to be mocking the Word of God, quoting phrases here-and-there from the Bible, without any meaningful logic or order, without reference to anything.  This, coupled with a mish-mash of mumbo-jumbo, superstitious astrological rot, makes the Book of Enoch a ridiculous piece of literature to even consider inspired by God. 

 

As a person progresses deeper into the Book of Enoch, they will eventually find the Books of Adam and Eve “fascinating” as well.  (And how many other similarly penned books might await the non-discerning, similar books of the occult that are false gospels that teach doctrines of devils...?) The next step, they will be into satanic Cabalistic occultism without even realizing it. 

 

This isn’t a piece of literature to be fooled by my dear friend, nor should a Son of God be dabbling into such bizarre sorcery, regardless of how many others do.  The Book of Enoch is occult material that will lead the reader into the senseless mysticism of pagan religion.  The fact that it's being paraded to the public nowadays on Walt Disney's History Station as a SHOCKING revelation, should be a clear warning sign where this is all headed.  The credibility of the Word of God is under malicious attack. 

 

The Book of Enoch uses unfamiliar terminology, referring to the "Lord of Spirits" and the "Head of Days."  These terms are foreign to the Word of God.  Someone un-inspired, made them up.  One will notice also that the Christ is NOT directly mentioned.  Never is God’s Name Mentioned. So what “god” is it that is being referred to in this book?? The ambiguous mention of what may or may not be the Messiah in the Book of Enoch, is eerily reminiscent of Freemasonry (who worship the "Great Architect" ...an undefined, ambiguous, universal god).  This is the false god of New Age. 

 

Christ's deity is not at all evidenced in the Book of Enoch. 

 

The Biblical quotes that actually do appear in the Book of Enoch were quite obviously reverse-engineered into the book; quotes that were taken from the Bible and inserted into the mumbo-jumbo contents of the book, probably to attempt to lend credence to it.  Many terms from the Biblical Book of Revelation are quoted in the Book of Enoch; but without any Spiritual direction or sense or reason, (in sharp contrast to the Bible).  The 66 Books of the Word of God we have perfectly intertwine with each other, presenting a clear consistent picture.  The Book of Enoch doesn't offer anything of doctrinal value, because its bizarre teachings stand alone, unable to be substantiated with Scripture. 

 

Every Scripture Jesus ever quoted is found in the Old Testament, without any reference to a Book of Enoch.  The strongest argument in favor of the Book of Enoch is found in Jude 1:14, "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints."  Since this quote is NOT found in the Old Testament, some scholars have used this fact in an attempt to legitimize the entire Book of Enoch.  We read in chapter 1:9 of the Book of Enoch:

 

And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones To execute judgment upon all, And to destroy all the ungodly: And to convict all flesh Of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed, And of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

 

However, there is no Biblical record of a "Book of Enoch."  There is NO doubt that Enoch made these statements as Jude 1:14 confirms; but that doesn't necessarily mean that Enoch authored any of our present day Book of Enoch. The question remains, who copied who?   And remember, the Author of the Bible is GOD; not men... "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" (2nd Peter 1:21). 

 

To elevate the Book of Enoch to the level of God's Word is dangerous, unless it is truly God's Word!  In due consideration whether Enoch wrote this present day work, we should test the spirit of it.

 

In our minds the question should arise as to whether or not the work was inspired by God.  The King James translators,48 scholarly men skilled in the Hebrew and Greek languages, did NOT think so! 

That fact can not be dismissed lightly.

 

Many godly men today write good books; but they are still flawed human beings, prone to sin, who aren't always doctrinally correct in every area.  It would be a great evil to recognize their writings as EQUAL with The Bible.  Jesus condemned people for trusting in rather than in the commandments of God (Mark 7:6-13).  Even king David warned against trusting men rather than God (Psalm 118:8).  This is why Seventh-Day Adventists are a false religion, because they elevate the writings of Ellen G. White as EQUAL with the Bible.  Scientologists do the same, by elevating the writings of Ron Hubbard as EQUAL with the Bible.  Members of the Faith of the Apostalic Church equate their Priests’ words and writings with that of God’s Word, one and the same. Catholics are woefully guilty of elevating the teaching of the Vatican , fabricated over the centuries, as EQUAL with God's Word.

 

If a man read the Book of Enoch with the spirit of discernment of the things of God, it will be abundantly clear to the Biblically-sound believer that it is NOT inspired by God any more than are the writings of the above authors. It is no different in its carnal comprehension and presentation of the things of God than are the secular books written by the founders of the numerous sects that have sprung up all around us even to this day.

 

If Enoch did write a book and it became separated from the rest of the writings of the prophets and this is all that remains of it, then it was obviously altered and twisted by wicked men, possibly to deliberately exploit and subvert the unwary and unlearned.  The Enemy truly is a subtle destroyer of men.

 

In any case, the fact of the matter is that the Book of Enoch is clearly a fake. It is a heretical manuscript filled with fictional supernatural wickedness in the dwelling place of God. 

Unlike the Bible, the Book of Enoch doesn't appear to be going anywhere and should NOT be referenced to in support of any understanding about spiritual things, good OR evil. It just doesn't fit anywhere.  The wording is vague, a common popular method of deception which Satan uses, (meaning of course, the sin filled spirit of those who are opposed to God’s Truth and Holiness, substituting their own righteousness and pre-eminence in place of His).  Listen to the average televangelist these days and you'll get a watered-down sermonette; but we seldom hear a clear Gospel presentation.  The occult is all about confusing people, which is why so many otherwise decent men join such organizations as Freemasonry, Grange, Knights of Pythias, Theosophy, Caballism, Rosicrucians or any other ‘members only’ secret style organizations.

 

It is pretty important that we not ADD anything to the simple Gospel, otherwise we've perverted it (Galatians 1:7).  

 

The worst of it is the teaching that Holy angels from Heaven came down and had sex with women!  The message of Gen 6:15 is intense enough in the depravity of Adam’s descendents without inventing an entirely superstitious interpretation, is it not?  It only comes from the unbridled carnal mind of a man to possibly imagine attributing such sexual perversion into the realm of God.

 

Enoch 7: 11 And the women conceiving brought forth giants, 12 Whose stature was each three hundred cubits. These devoured all which the labor of men produced; until it became impossible to feed them;13 When they turned themselves against men, in order to devour them; 14 And began to injure birds, beasts, reptiles, and fishes, to eat their flesh one after another, and to drink their blood. 15 Then the earth reproved the unrighteous.

 

People 450-feet tall?! Are we really going to accept that fallen angels had physical intimacy with earthly women that produced offspring 450-feet tall?  I hardly imagine! 

 

A "cubit" is 1.5 feet. (The Royal Cubit =20.63 inches about the length of an average forearm). The ark which Noah built was 300 cubits long (Genesis 6:15).  If we believe the book of Enoch is real, then some women had children who were as tall as the ark was long?   This, I would assert, is nonsense.

 

Such foolish conjecture is a violation of the simplest teachings of the Bible.

 

In Genesis 6: we read, "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown

 

Scriptures says, “There were giants in the earth in those days,” but it does not say they are the offspring of the sons of God and the daughters of men. It DOES say this about the offspring: “the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”

 

These were not monstrosities; they were men. (Birthed of an UN-sanctified union i.e. “Sons of God” were Adam’s line, the “daughters of men” were of Cain’s line, hence that specific wording). The record here makes it very clear that the giants were in the earth before this took place, and it simply means that these offspring were outstanding individuals in the earth.  The word can be just as scholarly translated “Heroes”, having nothing to do with “height”. We use the same vernacular today of certain men as being “giants”, whether in sports, politics or business or whatever. It means nothing more.

 

What can error do to a man?

 

Humanity has a tremendous capacity. Man is “fearfully and wonderfully made”—that is a great truth. (Psalm 139:14). It is a great truth that many have lost sight of because it has been substituted by a man’s teaching.

 

This modern contrary idea that man has spontaneously evolved up from protoplasm out of some seaweed or something is utterly preposterous of course, but what affect has such a silly teaching had upon men who accept this teaching? Evolution is nothing in the world but a theory as far as science is concerned. It is a theory without a shred of evidence. To a man of the Spirit of God, it is a theory that violates the clear evidence of creation. It is “reason and rationale” of the carnal mind at best. Nothing has been conclusive about it and never will be. Certainly no one can ‘prove’ it. It is a philosophy like any other philosophy, and it can be accepted or rejected. When it is accepted, it certainly leads to some very crazy solutions to the problems of the scientific world, but the fact remains that it is an error. Evolution is a spurious claim of men not inspired by God and can be an injurious belief system that short circuits God’s Word of Creation. In essence, it is a form of new-age religion that substitutes itself for the reality of God’s handiwork of Creation.

 

What separates a Christian from those errors of belief in the Creation of God, is that he relies on the Truth of God’s Word. Among other things, we learn from His Word that we are sinners and that we inherit this sinful nature from the man Adam, of whom we are descended. From His Word we learn that we are suffering from a fall, an awful fall, and that our fallen sinful nature causes us to sin and leads us to our just reward, death. It is because of what we have become as a result of sin. As stated in Gen 6:5, “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.  The wickedness of men’s hearts is often personified individually in the Word with terms such as “serpent” or “devil” or “satan”, or “dragon” or “wicked one” or “the old man” etc.  It is His way to show us the depth of our fallen nature.

 

Yet here, in this book of Enoch, we have an alternative teaching, one that is absent in Holy Scripture. We now find a bizarre teaching that it was Holy angelic beings from heaven that fell!  As the teaching goes in the Book of Enoch, they came down, had sex with women and fathered an offspring of monstrosities that resulted in demons and devils and satan, and then all these creatures are explained to actually be the ‘kingdom of darkness’ spoken of in N.T. Scriptures, where also unregenerate men are spiritually enslaved.

 

Furthermore, it is asserted that it is these “fallen angels” now turned demons, who from their dwelling place in hell are the one’s who tempt men to sin!

 

What kind of affect has this teaching had on men? I’ve heard men teach that these fallen angel/demons can take on shapes, can ‘possess’ men, afflict men with illnesses, diseases… etc etc, and that they are somehow the source of temptation and evil in this world that afflicts us.  Now it is being taught that “being tempted by the devil” is a different thing than “being drawn away of our own lusts and enticed”. In theology today, we now have an entire realm of supernatural wicked fallen angelic beings that are pursuing their own agenda in causing us to be tempted and sin! This is a message I’ve heard men preach hundreds of times! Yet there is no such teaching in the Bible!  This is as false a teaching as is the teaching of evolution. As evolution, it is an injurious semi-religious claim not inspired by God and who knows the extent of ‘injury’ that can be caused to a person’s spiritual comprehension and understanding of the creation of God that this teaching will cause?

 

Genesis is a book of genealogies—it is a book of the families. It is a Revelation of the Elohim, the Family of God made in His own image. SONS OF GOD.

 

After Adam sinned and fell, God provided a means immediately for restoration back into His family. This was of course, through the lamb sacrifice, (pointing forward to the ultimate sacrificial Lamb of God, Jesus Christ). Provided for us in Genesis is the tracing of this restored line of the sons of God from Adam, down to Noah, Shem to Abraham to David, eventually traced clear to Jesus Himself, (Luke 3:38). The sons of God are the godly line who came down from Adam through Seth.  But the un-godly line, the descendents of the murderer of his own brother, was the line of Cain and is what we see referred to as the daughters of men. God sent Cain away from where Adam and his family was for a reason. They were NOT to intermingle for obvious reasons. But because of the wickedness of man being great as it is, we see God’s command being broken because they lusted after women. What we see is forbidden un-sanctified intermingling and intermarriage of these two lines, until nearly the entire line of Adam is corrupted (well, not totally; there is one exception of course, the line that leads to Noah). That is the picture that is presented to us here in Genesis.

 

That is why God sent a flood to destroy these descendents.  Not because of any other reason.

 

But just to accommodate those who might think it could have been possible that Holy angelic beings could have married women and had sex, consider Jesus’ statement that such a thing is impossible;

 

Mark 12:24… And Jesus answering them, Do ye not therefore err because ye know not scriptures or the power of God? For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are they given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in Heaven..

 

The teachings of man do not agree with the Words of God. Angels do not, can not marry.

 

Nor can they sin, for only sinless men are in the resurrection, and they are equal to angels.

We also read that angels do God’s Will in Heb 1. That means they can not sin.

 

We know that there were giants in the Old Testament; but as seen with Goliath the Philistine (1st Samuel 17:4), he was only 9' 6" tall (not 450 feet). Giants in the Old Testament were NOT the result of fallen angels marrying human women.  And think about this, if fallen angels did have physical relations with earthly women, then why doesn't it occur today too? Again and again? What would be stopping them now if they did it before? And where are the skeletal remains of those 450-feet tall monsters? 

 

Dear friends, we flat need NOT to create angels into OUR own image of our own evil imaginations.

 

There is no such thing as a succubus or an incubus (i.e. sexual relations between demons and humans).  That is pagan sorcery, any such belief system as that is condemned by God over and over throughout O.T. scriptures. That belief is also why the bizarre Godless rites such as exorcisms and the Salem witch trials occurred. Errors tend to bring forth great calamities when they mature.

 

Furthermore, how could a normal sized woman give birth to a baby that would then grow to be as tall as half the length of a football field?  Just how, O HOW can we suppose any of this to be logical or of inspiration or of a revealing from God?! Does reading the book of Enoch make it real? The only thing it proves is that the book of Enoch is bogus and a perversion of man.

 

Although the Bible does contain many miraculous and startling events (e.g., the flood), they are all explainable and have rationale.  But angels of God falling and having sex with women?? This idea comes from a very twisted mind. Those who preach anything similar are perpetuating a terrible Godless error.

 

The Book of Enoch is a book of fables.  The Word of God is untouchable, unchangeable, and incorruptible!  It will stand up to ANY scrutiny. The book of Enoch falls apart at first glance.

 

We read in the Book of Enoch, chapter 69:4-6... 4 The name of the first Jeqon: that is, the one who led astray [all] the sons of God, and brought them 5 down to the earth, and led them astray through the daughters of men. And the second was named Asbeel: he imparted to the holy sons of God evil counsel, and led them astray so that they defiled 6 their bodies with the daughters of men. And the third was named Gadreel: he it is who showed the children of men all the blows of death, and he led astray Eve, and showed [the weapons of death to the sons of men] the shield and the coat of mail, and the sword for battle, and all the weapons.

 

Without a doubt, the primary claim of the Book of Enoch is that fallen angels had sex with human women and produced 450-feet tall giants upon the earth.  As shown, this teaching is ridiculous, unscriptural, and has no solid evidence to support it (Biblically or scientifically). It doesn’t take much to see why the Book of Enoch was rejected from Cannon.

 

It is nonsense. But even further yet, notice in 69:6 above that the Book of Enoch claims that a demon named Gadreel led Eve astray and introduced weaponry to mankind.  How absurd!  The Bible identifies the serpent which deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden as a “beast of the field which the Lord God had created”. Quite a difference. What should we believe… hmmm…
 

The reason why the early church fathers and the King James Bible translators rejected the Book of Enoch as inspired of God, WASN'T to hide the truth; (as claimed by such Spiritually blind occultists as Elizabeth Clare Prophet) BUT, because it is NOT the truth.  The Book of Enoch is a fraud, an imposter, and straight from Hell.  (to coin a phrase)

 

Right from the beginning when I first picked up that book and read in chapter 1:9 that an angel named Phanuel is "set over the repentance unto hope of those who inherit eternal life" ... I knew the Book of Enoch was a fraud. 

 

Salvation is found ONLY in Christ Jesus, Acts 4:10 "Be it known unto all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.  This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."  King David said in Psalm 62:6, "He (Christ) only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved."

 

Phanuel... you are a fraud!  Jesus is the ONLY Way, Truth, and Life (John 14:6). 

 

Dear Friend, whoever wrote that Book of Enoch is a Fraud.

 

No doubt if Enoch himself or even Jude were here standing in front of us today, they would take one look at that book in its present form, and immediately throw it down, grind it under their heel and kick it off into the pit as the work of the enemy of God.

 

It is a compilation of the perverted and twisted apostasy of brute beast men, who are operating outside of God’s Spirit.

 

God’s Kingdom of Heaven where He dwells, is one full of Peace and Joy and Meekness and Mildness, Patience, Mercy, Forgiveness, Longsuffering, Love, Righteousness… ALL things Righteous and Perfect.

Mankind is the ONLY exception to that because of MAN’S sin. But He is remedying that now in Christ Jesus our Lord.

 

His New Creation in us, when we receive His Resurrected Spirit of Holiness, brings forth a very new thing, a very Great Beautiful New thing that has never existed before in Creation. It is His NEW Creation. He is bringing forth an Inheritance to Himself, a people of the Lord, bringing a New thing… FAITH and HOPE! And not without Love and Righteousness.

 

Faith and Hope, together with Love… wow… That is what it is all about. It is the ultimate answer to “WHY?”
