(Mat 21:43 KJV) Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the FRUITS thereof.

The only difference between the true church, and false church is. The true church can only bring forth good fruit from the tree of life. The false church bears good and evil fruit. This is brought forth from the seed of the tree that produces good and evil. All powers are ordained of God.
(2 Tim 2:20 KJV) But in a GREAT HOUSE there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to HONOUR, and some to DISHONOUR.
(Rev 13:13 KJV) And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh FIRE come down from heaven on the earth in the SIGHT of men. The Holy Ghost is represented by FIRE, so is the unholy ghost. It will appear the REAL THING is being used by the false church. (Mat 24:24 KJV) For there shall arise false Christ's, and false prophets, and shall show GREAT SIGNS and WONDERS; insomuch that, IF it were possible, they shall DECEIVE the very ELECT. Look at how many false prophets that are top evangelist in this country. They appear to have the FIRE (HOLY GHOST) if you go by signs.
I pray first of all that you will allow the spirit of God to lead you, and not the traditions of men. I speak in an unknown tongue, and also have the gift of interpretation. This study reveals what the evidence of the Holy Ghost is. It is not based upon what the teachings of most Pentecostal denominations are preaching.
According to history, The first "Pentecostals denominations" in the modern sense appeared on the scene in 1901 in the city of Topeka, Kansas in a Bible school conducted by Charles Fox Parham, a holiness teacher and former Methodist pastor. In spite of controversy over the origins and timing of Parham's emphasis on glossolalia, all historians agree that the movement began during the first days of 1901 just as the world entered the Twentieth Century.
The first person (BY THEIR RECORD) to be baptized in the Holy Spirit accompanied by speaking in tongues was Agnes Ozman, one of Parham's Bible School students, who spoke in tongues on the very first day of the new century, January 1, 1901. According to J. Roswell Flower, the founding Secretary of the Assemblies of God, Ozman's experience was the "touch felt round the world," an event which " made the Pentecostal Movement of the Twentieth Century."
As a result of this Topeka Pentecost, Parham formulated the doctrine that tongues was the "Bible evidence" of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. He also taught that tongues was a supernatural impartation of human languages (xenoglossolalia) for the purpose of world evangelization. Henceforth, he taught, missionaries need not study foreign languages since they would be able to preach in miraculous tongues all over the world. Armed with this new theology, Parham founded a church movement which he called the "Apostolic Faith" and began a whirlwind revival tour of the American middle west to promote his exciting new experience.

Evidence : something that FURNISHES PROOF : testimony ; specif : something legally submitted to a TRIBUNAL TO ASCERTAIN THE TRUTH OF A MATTER, ONE WHO BEARS WITNESS. Jesus bears witness that he follows the church by all of the SIGNS following the church NOT JUST TONGUES. It states these SIGNS SHALL FOLLOW, NOT THE ONE SIGN OF TONGUES!
Proof : something that induces CERTAINTY or ESTABLISHES VALIDITY.
(Acts 2:1 KJV) And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. (Acts 2:2 KJV) And suddenly there came a SOUND from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it FILLED all the HOUSE where they were sitting. (Acts 2:3 KJV) And there appeared unto them CLOVEN TONGUES like as of FIRE, and it sat upon each of them. (Acts 2:4 KJV) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them UTTERANCE. (Acts 2:5 KJV) And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of EVERY nation UNDER HEAVEN. (Acts 2:6 KJV) Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them SPEAK in his OWN LANGUAGE. (Acts 2:7 KJV) And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which SPEAK Galileans? (Acts 2:8 KJV) And how HEAR we every man in OUR OWN TONGUE, wherein we WERE BORN?
When we read the word of God we find the first four people filled with the Holy Ghost in the New Testament were: Elisabeth, John, Mary and Zacharias. We know that there is only one Holy Ghost. This Holy Ghost is the same that fell on the day of Pentecost. (Luke 1:41) And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was FILLED with the HOLY GHOST: Verse 42 states she spoke out, or prophesied because the Spirit revealed that the child Mary carried was blessed. (Luke 1:42) And she SPAKE out with a LOUD VOICE, and said, Blessed [art] thou among women, and blessed [is] the fruit of thy womb. (Luke 1:46 - 55) talks about what happened when the Spirit took control of Mary. She magnified the Lord and prophesied. (Luke 1:46) And Mary said, My soul doth MAGNIFY the Lord, (Luke 1:47) And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. (Luke 1:48) For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. (Luke 1:49) For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy [is] his name. (Luke 1:50) And his mercy [is] on them that fear him from generation to generation. (Luke 1:51) He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. (Luke 1:52) He hath put down the mighty from [their] seats, and exalted them of low degree. (Luke 1:53) He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. (Luke 1:54) He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of [his] mercy; (Luke 1:55) As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. Notice this verse: (Luke 1:67) And his father Zacharias was FILLED with the Holy Ghost, and PROPHESIED, saying.
MAGNIFY - 3170. megaluno, meg-al-oo'-no; from G3173; to make (or declare) great, i.e. increase or (fig.) extol:--WEBSTER - enlarge, magnify, shew great. extol, laud b : to cause to be HELD in GREATER ESTEEM or RESPECT : to increase in significance : intensify : exaggerate : to ENLARGE in fact or in APPEARANCE ~ vi : to have the power of causing objects to appear LARGER THAN THEY ARE.
Note, the FIRST THREE people filled with the Holy Ghost IN THE NEW TESTAMENT prophesied. The fourth (John) was in his mothers womb. A lot of people believe that TONGUES is the EVIDENCE of RECEIVING the HOLY GHOST, but let us study all of the places mentioned about the INFILLING of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 13:52) And the disciples were FILLED with JOY, and with the Holy Ghost. Note again, it states JOY, which is a GIFT of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 10:46) For they HEARD them speak with tongues, and MAGNIFY God. These men were understood by the Apostles because they knew God was MAGNIFIED. They did speak with tongues, which complies perfectly with the WORD, because it also is a GIFT of the Holy Ghost.
The first place it mentioned tongues in the New Testament is: (Mark 16:17) And these SIGNS shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they CAST OUT devils; they shall SPEAK with NEW TONGUES; and if they DRINK any DEADLY THING, it shall not hurt them; they shall LAY HANDS on the SICK, and they SHALL RECOVER. Look at everything that is mentioned here and realize if you have to do one of these things, you have to do them all.
I have had family members do all of these things. They belonged to the Apostolic church that believed in snake handling, drinking poison, and that tongues is the evidence. Needless to say some have been healed, some do drink poison, and they do take up rattle snakes, and they are not harmed. This proves nothing to me. I have stood and had people speak in tongues and understood that it was a message straight from Satan himself. (2 Th 2:9 KJV) Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with ALL POWER and SIGNS and LYING WONDERS. Tongues is a SIGN and ALL POWER and SIGNS and LYING WONDERS are given to him whose coming is after Satan. If he speaks in tongues, is it THE EVIDENCE of the Holy Ghost? If he shows all of the signs, is it evidence of the Holy Ghost? (Mat 16:4 KJV) A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.
Does this mean these gifts are fake, God forbid? It is quite common for tongues to be present when someone is filled with the Holy Ghost. It was also noted, in the word, that they also prophesied. It is also quite common for someone in the occult to be demon possessed and speak in tongues. Many false prophets and evil ones speak in tongues. (Mat 7:22 KJV) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not PROPHESIED in thy NAME? and in thy name have CAST OUT DEVILS? and in thy name done many WONDERFUL WORKS? (Mat 7:23 KJV) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that WORK INIQUITY.
The word of God plainly states tongues is a sign for the unbeliever. (1 Cor 14:22 KJV) Wherefore TONGUES are for a SIGN, not to them that believe, but to them that BELIEVE NOT: but PROPHESYING serveth not for them that BELIEVE NOT, but for them which BELIEVE. This is being taught in reverse in the Pentecostal Faiths.
The Apostolic denominations that broke off of the PENTECOSTAL TRINITY CHURCHES have carried unsound doctrine with them. They are ignorant to this fact. As a whole, they are ignorant that they teach Trinitarians points of doctrine when teaching the books of prophesy. Such doctrines as the ashes of the RED HEIFER, DISPENSATIONALISM, AND THE GAP THEORY.
The largest oneness denomination of which I know of is the UPCI. This denomination has some wonderful brothers THAT ARE HOLY GHOST FILLED. We are all ignorant in certain areas, and await the teaching of the Spirit. That is why the ones that know Jesus as God will not stay in ignorance.
If you have only been filled with the Holy Ghost one time something is wrong. The same ones that were filled with the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost were filled time and time again. The infilling of the Holy Ghost is for power.
Oneness PENTECOSTAL denominations as does the trinity PENTECOSTAL denominations, believe tongues is the evidence of the HOLY GHOST. I speak in an unknown tongue and believe in tongues. I also know that tongues is a wonderful and glorious happening that I wish all would experience, but will not. (1 Cor 12:30 KJV) Have all the gifts of healing? DO all SPEAK with TONGUES? do all INTERPRET? The answer is NO! Tongues when not understood are unknown tongues.
The UPCI comes out of the Pentecostal movement that began in Topeka, Kansas in 1901. It traces its organizational foundations to October 1916. A large group of ministers from the ASSEMBLIES OF GOD over the doctrinal issues of the oneness of God, and water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, broke off. These men saw more light, but held on to the belief that tongues was the evidence of the Holy Ghost, out of ignorance. (1 Cor 14:38 KJV) But if any man be IGNORANT, LET HIM BE IGNORANT. (1 Cor 14:39 KJV) Wherefore, brethren, COVET to PROPHESY, and FORBID NOT TO SPEAK WITH TONGUES. They, UPCI, ask the question, (why tongues as the evidence?) it is not! (Mat 7:20 KJV) Wherefore by their FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW THEM. Remember tongues began in Babylon, and a lot of what some think is the Holy Ghost is babble.
(Acts 2:3) And there APPEARED unto them cloven TONGUES like as of FIRE, and it sat upon each of them. (Acts 2:4) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to SPEAK with (OTHER TONGUES) as the Spirit gave them utterance. It says OTHER tongues, not UNKNOWN tongues. It was a sign to the unbelievers, not the believers, because about 3,000 souls were added to the church. Before we go any further, I will list the Spiritual Gifts.
(I Corinthians 12:8) For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; (I Corinthians 12:9) To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; (I Corinthians 12:10) To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: (I Corinthians 12:28) And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Any of these gifts can be received at the time someone receives the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. We know that everyone does not have to have all the gifts, including tongues, because Paul asked in: (I Corinthians 12:29) [Are] all apostles? [are] all prophets? [are] all teachers? [are] all workers of miracles? (I Corinthians 12:30) Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? We know the answer to all of these questions. The answer is NO AGAIN!
We also know a lot of people don't believe in any of the spiritual gifts, but they are very wrong. They use this verse to say the gifts are not for today. (I Corinthians 13:10) But when that which is PERFECT IS COME, then that which is in PART SHALL BE DONE AWAY. Using verse 8, which says: (I Corinthians 13:8) Charity never faileth: but whether [there be] PROPHECIES, they SHALL FAIL; whether [there be] TONGUES, they SHALL CEASE; whether [there be] KNOWLEDGE, it shall VANISH AWAY. We know charity or love, which comes from God Almighty, will never fail. But, prophecies which you can read in the Enquirer, or any gossip column will fail (False Prophesies). TONGUES will CEASE when the Lord comes, but right now we have DIFFERENT LANGUAGES such as French, Russian, German, Spanish, English etc. The carnal knowledge of man shall vanish when Jesus returns and we have the new heaven and the new earth. The carnal knowledge of man has not ceased. Many men have their master's degree but do not know the master.
Verses where tongues were received are found in: (Acts 2:4 KJV) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 10:46) For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, (Acts 19:6) And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. Verses found where tongues were not spoken, but they received the Holy Ghost are: (Luke 1:41) And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: (Luke 1:67) And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, (Acts 4:8) Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, (Acts 4:31) And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were ALL FILLED with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with BOLDNESS.
When we receive the Holy Ghost it is for POWER. Any gift will give you power. (Acts 1:8) But ye shall receive POWER, after that the Holy Ghost is COME UPON YOU: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Jesus used the same description that it uses in the Old Testament.
Tongues is a lesser gift than prophesy. (I Corinthians 14:5) I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater [is] he that PROPHESIETH than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. If tongues would have been the evidence of the Holy Ghost, Paul wouldn't have rather you prophesy. Tongues here again, covers unknown tongues and other tongues.
Do you read, in the word, where the question was ever asked, have you spoken in tongues since you believed? This is a question that is ask by almost all in the denominations of the Pentecostals. And do you ever read where they said, "if you have not spoken in tongues you do not have the Holy Ghost?"
The devil has people believing just the opposite of what the WORD says. Tongues is for them that believe not. (I Corinthians 14:22) Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying [serveth] not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. But we know some men are ignorant to this fact. So forbid them not to speak with tongues: (I Corinthians 14:38) But if any man be IGNORANT, let him be IGNORANT. (I Corinthians 14:39) Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and FORBID NOT to speak with tongues.
We need to seek all of the SPIRITUAL GIFTS they are all important. SOME people who seek for tongues, care more for the traditional doctrine, taught by most Pentecostal Churches, than what the word of God says. They want people to hear TONGUES AS PROOF of the Holy Ghost. They edify themselves and not the church.
Jesus said in: (Matthew 7:16) Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? These fruits are listed in (Galatians 5:22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (Galatians 5:23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
No place in the word of God does it say that there is a Trinity. Neither does the word of God say that tongues is the evidence of the Holy Ghost. The Pope speaks in more tongues than almost anyone. Remember tongues began in Babylon. Tongues must be understood and confirmed by the word of God in order to edify the church.
Be careful, the false church talks in tongues and still babbles confusion today being Babylon. I want all of the signs that the Lord promised following my ministry. Tongues is a real gift of God that everyone should desire. Yet no sign is the true evidence of the Holy Ghost although it is being falsely taught that way. No malice intended but this doctrine is ignorance of the scriptures and the true teachings of the Apostles. The Holy Ghost (SPIRIT OF GOD) itself is the greatest gift of all. The Holy Ghost is the giver of all of the gifts unto the church. God bless you in his love and lead you into all truth.
