THE VIRGIN BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST
We (of the Apostolic Oneness Faith) believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ. Matt. 1:18-25, Luke 1:26-38. Jesus Christ is "EMMANUEL, God with us" Matt. 1:23, Isa. 7:14, Rev. 1:8. The JHVH or YHVH God of old (who is a spirit), caused a virgin named Mary to conceive the flesh of God, in her womb. The Lord did this to enter this world in human form and become the sacrifice for sin as had been prophesied time and time again in the Old Testament.
Notice what the prophet Isaiah said about this male child or "Son". He prophesied that Jesus Christ would be born of a "Virgin", Isa. 7:14. The prophet Isaiah did not stop there, he also prophesied that this male child WOULD BE GOD INCARNATE. Jesus Christ is not one of the Gods, or a second person of a Godhead. He is literally "The Mighty God himself in the flesh":
Isa. 9:6: "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, the prince of peace."
The Apostle Paul of the New Testament, also confirms this Bible fact that God Himself came to earth in the form of flesh:
1Tm:3:16: "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
The Apostle John stated this truth of God dwelling with man as Christ saying:
Jn:1:1: "In the beginning was the Word (God), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
Jn:1:10: "He (God in Christ) was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not."
Jn:1:11: "He (God in Christ) came unto his own (to the Hebrews as prophesied), and his own received him not."
Jn:1:14: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth."
The Virgin Mary's husband "Joseph" was not the father of Jesus Christ. Many new "REVISED" versions of the Bible may try to call Joseph the father of Jesus, but this is not true. If Joseph was the father of Jesus, then Jesus would have been merely a human child conceived out of wedlock. While Joseph slept one night an angel of the Lord came to him in his dreams and gave him the revelation of Jesus Christ coming into the world through the medium of his espoused to be: "Mary". This is what the Angel told Joseph:
Mt:1:23-25: "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not (did not have sexual intercourse with her) till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS."
Mary was a good women, "BUT" she was only a woman who was used of God as the instrument in which God would manifest himself in the flesh and enter this world. God chose to use the seed (or offspring) of a woman to defeat Satan and to redeem fallen mankind:
Gen:3:15: "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
Heb:9:12: "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us."
Phil:2:5-8: "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
Mary was a virgin when she conceived and delivered the Christ child. However Mary became married to her husband and they consummated their marriage after Christ was born. Mary did not remain a virgin forever like Catholicism teaches. She had natural children by her husband Joseph.
Matt:1:24-25: "Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS."
Matt:13:54-57: "And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house."
Mark 6:2-4: "And when the Sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Judah, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house."
Luke 1:24-25: "And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly."
We believe fully in the Virgin Birth of Christ. If an Almighty God can create and entire Universe then it is no hard thing for him to move upon the womb of a virgin two thousand years ago and cause here to conceive "HIMSELF" in the form of flesh. Thus, Jesus Christ became "GOD INCARNATE". For in him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily:
Col:2:9: "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily."

The virgin birth of Christ is and actual Historical fact. God came (in the sinless form of Jesus) into the earth that "HE" created. No other event in the past has had so much impact out side of Calvary where Christ paid the price for our transgression. And this was prophesied by the prophet Isaiah:
Isa:53:3-5: "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our grief's, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
Many people today believe that there is life in space and that maybe we have been visited by aliens. Let me say now "this is a hoot". Everything was created by God for God. And we have not and will not ever prove this theory. UFO's, aliens and the like are nothing more than spirits "evil spirit". Check out this site:
In Closing this author suggests to the reader, "instead of looking for little green of gray men; instead of looking for spiritual enlightenment in things created and not the creator of those very things; instead of thinking of ourselves (for ourselves, because of ourselves) let us hence forth look back at Bethlehem, for there the "True Supreme Being" came to us in our own likeness."
