The Abyss

This writing deals with the Abyss the way that I see it according to the scriptures. Everybody is free to make their own conclusion. I love all but can only write what I see through the scriptures of God. My greatest desire is to correctly divide them line upon line.

HELL - Shehole; from Hebrew Hades or WORLD OF THE DEAD, GRAVE, PIT. (Greek) Geena pronounced Gheh-en-nah, valley of (the son of) Hinnom; Gehenna (or Ge - Hinnom) a valley of Jerus, used (fig) as a name for the place ( or state) of EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT.

Were there spirits that existed somewhere that Jesus preached to before the flood?

(1 Pet 3:19 KJV) By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; (1 Pet 3:20 KJV) Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

I believed that Jesus actually preached to spirits that were in prison as the verse states!

In the Book of Daniel we read of two resurrections concerning the ones that sleep in the earth or that are dead.

(Dan 12:2 KJV) And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

When Jesus Christ arose many of the saints arose fulfilling the type and shadow of this feast day, SHEAF OF FIRST FRUITS.

(Mat 27:52 KJV) And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose.

Daniel also states that others will be raised to eternal contempt. We know that these people will not be raised with a natural body but with spiritual bodies.

The word of God also states that when a man dies his spirit returns unto God. It does not state that the spirit dies with the body but it returns unto God. I believe that all of the spirits of all men return unto God, which is a consuming fire.

(Deu 4:24 KJV) For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

(Heb 12:29 KJV) For our God is a consuming fire.

Our God the Holy Ghost is an ever burning fire of blessings and of wrath.

Concerning the spirit of man:

(Eccl 3:21 KJV) Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

(Eccl 12:7 KJV) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

These verses state that the spirit lives on after the body has returned unto dust. According to these verses the spirit of all men return unto God not just the souls of the righteous. My God, the Holy Ghost, which is Jesus Christ living in me is a consuming fire. Peter makes a statement also that must be considered.

(2 Pet 2:4 KJV) For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

We must ask ourselves a question here about what Peter is stating? Did God just cast the angels down to a grave? It also states that these angels were delivered into chains of darkness to be judged later. This darkness is mentioned by Jesus Christ.

(Mat 8:12 KJV) But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I do believe in a place of eternal darkness where spirits cannot receive any light or feel any comfort from the presence of the Lord. Again it does state that the spirit of man lives on and returns unto God. It states that the spirits of angels were delivered into chains of darkness.

Jesus uses a place of darkness that represents a place of torment.

(Mat 22:13 KJV) Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
 

Peter states again that there is an eternal darkness reserved for the ones that are antichrist.

(2 Pet 2:17 KJV) These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

Jude reinforces Peter's words:

(Jude 1:13 KJV) Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Jesus talks about eternal damnation:

(Mark 3:29 KJV) But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

There is no doubt that Jesus taught that there was an eternal place of damnation and a place of outer darkness.

Looking at the definitions above we must bear in mind there are several meanings of hell. Some do not believe in EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT, but believe in EVERLASTING LIFE in PARADISE. The scriptures without a doubt mentions both.

Why would a loving and merciful God allow anyone to be punished forevermore? Why does a loving Lord allow evil people on earth, cancer, aids, heart disease, or child abuse, etc., etc.? Who created evil and why?

The Lord Almighty created all things.

(Eph 3:9) And to make all men see what is the FELLOWSHIP OF THE MYSTERY, which from the BEGINNING of the WORLD hath been HID IN GOD, who CREATED ALL THINGS BY JESUS CHRIST:

(Col 1:16) For BY HIM WERE ALL THINGS CREATED, that are IN HEAVEN, and that are IN EARTH, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY HIM, and FOR HIM.

Here we see the Lord Jesus created ALL POWERS including SATAN, (FIRST ADAM).

Did the Lord ever send evil himself?

(Isaiah 31:1) Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord! (Isaiah 31:2) Yet he also is wise, and will BRING EVIL, and will not call back his words: but WILL ARISE against the house of the EVILDOERS, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

(Jer 4:6) Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I WILL BRING EVIL FROM THE NORTH, and a GREAT DESTRUCTION.

The Lord brought evil upon different ones. Evil comes upon man because of sin the word of God says.

(Gal 6:7) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWETH, that SHALL HE ALSO REAP.

Will a man reap what he sows or not? Scripture promises justice according to ones works. Will some men reap more than others since the Lord God is a just God?

(Luke 12:47 KJV) And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. (Luke 12:48 KJV) But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Did HITLER receive what he deserved while he lived, for his evil ways? Have the ROMAN CATHOLIC POPES reaped for ALL OF the MURDER and EVIL that they HAVE COMMITTED through history? Their SPIRIT, which will EXIST FOREVER, will FACE JESUS CHRIST, the all consuming fire. Hitler's spirit did not go into the dust but returned unto God, which gave it.

Some say your SPIRIT does not live on, but the word of God says that it does as the verses above state.

(Rev 20:10 KJV) And the DEVIL that DECEIVED them was CAST into the LAKE OF FIRE and BRIMSTONE, where the BEAST and the FALSE PROPHET are, and shall be TORMENTED DAY and NIGHT for EVER and EVER.

God is the all consuming lake of fire! God is an eternal fire that burns as light to be separated from him is to experience eternal darkness and eternal damnation.

The devil, beast, and false prophet are all within the SPIRIT OF CARNAL MAN. The Devil is Satan the enemy of God. The enemy Satan (SPIRIT OF CARNAL MAN) is a FALSE PROPHET.

(Mat 7:15 KJV) Beware of FALSE PROPHETS, which come to you in SHEEP'S CLOTHING, but inwardly they are RAVENING WOLVES (BEAST).

Satan, carnal spirit of man, beast, and false prophet are all the same spirit. The spirit of man or Adam returns unto God.

(Isa 41:14 KJV) Fear not, thou WORM JACOB, and ye MEN OF ISRAEL; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

(Isa 66:24 KJV) And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: for their WORM shall not die, neither shall THEIR FIRE be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

The lost souls of the carnally minded are the worms that never die in the abyss. WORM JACOB, refers to the OLD MAN NATURE OF JACOB. JACOB'S name was changed to ISRAEL meaning he will rule as god.

(Rev 1:6 KJV) And hath made US KINGS and PRIESTS unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

(Mark 9:44 KJV) Where their WORM (SPIRIT) DIETH NOT, and the FIRE is NOT QUENCHED.

(Eccl 8:8) There is no man that hath POWER OVER THE SPIRIT to retain the SPIRIT; neither hath he POWER in the DAY of DEATH: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall WICKEDNESS DELIVER those that are GIVEN TO IT.

The Word of God refers to the devil as a man?

(Isaiah 14:12) How art thou FALLEN from heaven, O Lucifer, SON of the MORNING! how art thou CUT DOWN to the GROUND, (EARTH) which didst weaken the nations! (Isaiah 14:13) For thou hast said in THINE HEART, I will ASCEND into HEAVEN, I will EXALT my THRONE above the STARS of GOD: I will SIT also UPON the MOUNT of the CONGREGATION, in the sides of the NORTH: (Isaiah 14:14) I will ASCEND above the HEIGHTS of the CLOUDS; I will be LIKE the MOST HIGH. (Isaiah 14:15) Yet thou shalt be brought down to HELL, to the SIDES of the PIT. (Isaiah 14:16) They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, IS THIS the MAN that made the EARTH to TREMBLE, that did shake kingdoms.

Satan is the spirit of carnal man? Men through pride exalt themselves becoming God's arch enemy.

I believe in the spiritual man. I do not believe when you die you know anything in the flesh (CARNAL MIND) as a man would know.

(Eccl 9:5) For the LIVING KNOW that they SHALL DIE: but the DEAD KNOW NOT ANY THING, neither have they any more a REWARD; for the MEMORY of them is FORGOTTEN. (Eccl 9:6) Also their LOVE, and their HATRED, and their ENVY, is NOW PERISHED; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

This is talking about the NATURAL DEATH the flesh knows nothing! The mortal body will never have anything to do with anything done on earth again. Earth to earth and ashes to ashes.

The Jehovah Witnesses use this verse to say the SPIRIT dies and knows nothing. Yet this same man states that the spirit returns unto God who gave it.

Notice how Jesus separates the body from the soul.

(Matthew 10:28) And fear not them which KILL the BODY, but are NOT ABLE to KILL the SOUL: but rather fear him which is able to destroy BOTH SOUL and BODY in HELL.

For our spirit to fill nothing of light is to be destroyed in hell.

If the abyss is just the grave why would the word of God tell us to chastise our children in order to deliver their soul from hell?

(Prov 23:14) Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his SOUL FROM HELL.

Does this mean if we beat our children with a rod they will never go to their grave? I believe that their is a greater wisdom to be revealed by this scripture!

Godly fear is good, this is why the word of God tells us to deliver our children's soul from eternal damnation!

(Prov 9:10) The FEAR OF THE LORD is the BEGINNING OF WISDOM: and the KNOWLEDGE of the HOLY is UNDERSTANDING.

Jesus speaks of everlasting punishment just as he speaks of eternal life. I do not believe in a physical fire because a physical fire cannot hurt a spirit. The all consuming fire, which is God can bring eternal punishment to a spirit that has rejected him. These spirits are delivered I believe into a place of eternal darkness and separation from the feeling of light or life.

(Matthew 25:46) And these shall go away into EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT: but the RIGHTEOUS into LIFE ETERNAL.

DEEP - Hebrew 8415. tehowm, teh-home'; or tehom, teh-home'; (usually fem.) from Heb1949; an ABYSS (as a surging mass of water), espec. the deep (the main sea or the subterranean water- supply):- deep (place), depth.

God separates the waters from the waters and God separates the darkness from the light.

DEEP - Greek12. abussos, ab'-us-sos; from Grk1 (as a neg. particle) and a var. of Grk1037; DEPTHLESS, i.e. (spec.) (infernal) "ABYSS":- DEEP, BOTTOMLESS) PIT.

The deepest thing that exist is the mystery of God and what it means to stand in the proximity of God.

(Genesis 1:2) And the EARTH was without FORM, and VOID; and DARKNESS was upon the FACE of the DEEP. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

(Jer 4:22 KJV) For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. (Jer 4:23 KJV) I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

God's light shines into my heart and through the spirit I look upon his face, his being, his word, and his eternal ways.

All things exist within the depth of God. God is the all eternal fire that will torment the souls of the men that are raised to the resurrection of damnation.

(Heb 10:31 KJV) It is a FEARFUL THING to FALL INTO the HANDS of the LIVING GOD.

Now in this life it is man's choice to separate himself from God. How things are going to change when God separates his spirit of life from theirs. God is saying they are dead now and do not know it. They are twice dead, being SONS OF PERDITION set aside for this JUDGMENT of SEPARATION. When God does the DAY OF SEPARATION it will no longer rain on the unjust. This is the spiritual water of light that they will want to touch their spirit.

(Mat 5:45 KJV) That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun (SON) to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth RAIN (BLESSINGS OF THIS LIFE) on the JUST and on the UNJUST.

David said:

(Psa 139:8 KJV) If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

God is a spirit of eternal fire, or light that is omnipresence and omnipotent.

Through tradition the Abyss is misunderstood. The Deep, or Abyss is the all consuming fire (GOD). The eternal spirit of blessings or the spirit of an eternal curse. We are dealing with a two edged sword.

God sends no one to suffer eternal damnation or separation, we have a choice.

(Joshua 24:15) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YE WILL SERVE; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for ME and MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.

(Rev 20:12 KJV) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (Rev 20:13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (Rev 20:14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The dead could not be the saints because we will always be considered alive in Christ Jesus.

 (John 11:26 KJV) And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

I believe the second death is an eternal death. The spirit of man returned unto God almighty the eternal burning fire to receive eternal judgment according to their works. God is a just God that gives righteous judgment. A God that is just and merciful and that will be fair unto all men and judge them according unto their works. All will be judged righteously and fairly what more could be ask of all?

The second death is an eternal death the spirit of ungodly men returning unto the eternal fire, which is God for eternal punishment in a world of darkness or separation from light. The word, which is an eternal blessings or an eternal curse or damnation. The word, which is an eternal double edged sword.

(Luke 13:27 KJV) But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Eternal separation unto darkness is real and there is no doubt that the wicked shall be separated from the light.

There is much more to say about the pattern and separation of light from darkness but I have written enough about this topic. Many, many more verses could be used in discussing this topic but again I have stated enough.

I do not believe the burning lake of fire to be a place that will burn this old carnal flesh, but a place of eternal punishment for the spirit of man, soul, or being of man. A place of separation, and a spiritual torment that far exceeds the hell of this earth, or the grave.

In summation:

We cannot be judged of our works until our life and our works have been completed. At death we are judged by a righteous God according to our works. A righteous judge will determine what lays in store for that spirit that refused God. Believe in what you want to I believe the chains of darkness are eternal and Jesus told of eternal punishment.

I want that eternal light of the city of New Jerusalem to always shine on all of us for all of eternity.
