2. Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. (Luke 23:43)
3. Woman, behold thy son! [And to the disciple] behold thy mother! (John 19:26-27)
4. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Matthew 27:46)
5. I thirst. (John 19:28)
6. It is finished. (John 19:30)
7. Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit. (Luke 23:46)
(1.) Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. (Luke 23:34)
In Christ we have universal forgiveness. It is the start of the process of our own new creation, the first day. In him is the light that brings this knowledge.
(Genesis 1:2) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Reviewing this scripture we must realize we were earth that was taken, and God formed man. Not having the mind of Christ is being in darkness, without light, and the face of God, or the deep is hid from us. We either have the spirit of God which is the living waters, and are of the waters from above, "people of God." Otherwise we are of the waters, or sea which is from below earthly, bitter waters, salt water, wormwood, " carnal, satanic."
(Gen 1:26 KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Adam, in the beginning was without sin, this is the image of God. God wanted Adam, mankind to be without sin and in his image. Adam sinned and fell but through a divine plan of forgiveness God has given mankind another chance. Now in order to be recreated in the image of God we must be born again. In sin we were blind and in darkness since we did not know what we were doing Jesus Christ made a way for us to be forgiven. Now we through this plan of forgiveness under grace can reenter the garden, heaven, or paradise.
The way that we confess Jesus is come in the flesh, is by receiving him into our flesh, bearing the fruit of the spirit, and becoming bone of his bone, and flesh of his flesh.
(Eph 5:30 KJV) For we are members of his body, of his FLESH, and of his BONES.
In the beginning I prayed: "Father forgive me, I do not know what I am doing, I have been blind, and I repent. Forgive me my trespasses against you." We know if we forgive men their trespasses, our heavenly Father will also forgive us.
(2) Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. (Luke 23:43)
Upon acceptance of God's forgiveness and by following his commandment of baptism, the new believer immediately finds himself translated into the kingdom of light or the Kingdom of God. We are seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. It is a NOW thing upon the acceptance of his forgiveness. Dry land appears and the sea, or bitter waters are separated. We can now leave Egypt, and start our journey through the wilderness of this world. We must realize that we are in this world, but not of it. In the spirit we are in heavenly places with Christ Jesus now, but the course must be run, and finished while we are in this world.
While in the wilderness of this world, and this life (THE GREAT TRIBULATION PERIOD) will occur. There is a promise that we will suffer greatly for his name sake.
(Mat 10:22 KJV) And ye shall BE HATED OF ALL MEN for my NAME'S SAKE: but he that ENDURETH to the END shall be saved.
The ones that make it through the great tribulation of this life, will receive a white robe.
(REV 7:14) And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of GREAT TRIBULATION, and have washed their robes, and made them WHITE in the blood of the Lamb.
Remember we sit in heavenly places now and are spiritually in paradise with God. I was a thief and was trying to do it my way. I died as the thief on the cross with Jesus Christ my Lord. I have now entered into paradise or the Kingdom of God.
(John 10:1 KJV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the DOOR into the sheepfold, but CLIMBETH UP SOME OTHER WAY, the same is a THIEF and a ROBBER.
I had to be crucified with Christ Jesus. When I WAS CRUCIFIED WITH HIM, I was born again and now I can do all things in Christ Jesus.
(Eph 1:3 KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath BLESSED US with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
(Eph 1:20 KJV) Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
(Eph 2:6 KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
(Eph 3:10 KJV) To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.
Through the New Creation, the church, his wife and the Israel of God, we sit in heaven with Christ Jesus our husband receiving his wisdom. This restoration of the woman makes the second Adam (JESUS CHRIST) one with his wife in heaven.
We are ruling now with Christ Jesus and he has given us power over all the powers of Satan (THE OLD MAN).
(Luke 10:19 KJV) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
(3) Woman, behold thy son! [And to the disciple] behold thy mother! (John 19:26-27)
We look about us and realize that others are partakers of this wondrous life. Herbs and plants with life are appearing everywhere. We see that we are all members of this great family and understand that in the body of Christ we are all of one blood (SPIRIT). What happens to you is as important as if it was happening to my own mother, or brother for THE CHURCH is my mother and we are brothers if we all do the will of our heavenly father. Typologically, the Church is to behold her sons. The sons are to behold their mother, the Church.
Some people do not understand the family relationship, and who our true family is.
Jesus said:
(Mat 12:50 KJV) For whosoever shall do the WILL of MY FATHER which is in HEAVEN, the SAME IS my BROTHER, and SISTER, and MOTHER.
If we interpret this verse correctly in the spiritual we also receive more light about the family.
(Mat 15:4 KJV) For God commanded, saying, Honour thy FATHER and MOTHER: and, He that CURSETH FATHER or MOTHER, let him DIE the DEATH.
We know that this applies in the spiritual. Israel was to raise their children in the ways of God therefore they were to be honored by their children. Israel was married unto God. You cannot honour, or respect a devil, which a lot of earthly fathers, and mothers are. In the natural many parents are, drunks, liars, drug addicts, killers, child abusers, spiritually proud etc. etc. Respect and honour are earned by them that have high standards and morals. Great honor is to be given specifically to the saints.
I have only one father, and that is my heavenly father, and my mother is the church. We may have to forsake our earthly family for the name of Jesus, or our ministry in him.
(Mat 5:16 KJV) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and GLORIFY YOUR FATHER which is IN HEAVEN.
(Mat 19:29 KJV) And every one that HATH FORSAKEN houses, or BRETHREN, or SISTERS, or FATHER, or MOTHER, or WIFE, or CHILDREN, or LANDS, for MY NAME'S SAKE, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
(Mat 23:9 KJV) And CALL NO MAN YOUR FATHER upon the earth: for ONE IS YOUR FATHER, which is IN HEAVEN.
I have fathered sons and daughters through Jesus Christ here on earth but do not want to be called father or reverent.
(1 Cor 4:15 KJV) For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
I want all glory to go to Jesus Christ.
(4) My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Matthew 27:46)
Moses held up a serpent in the wilderness, and all who looked upon it were delivered from the plague of serpent bites. Jesus came in the likeness of sinful flesh. Though without sin, his humanity had a first Adam heritage that came through Mary. He carried this human heritage being tempted in everyway through life and overcame it, knowing his true identity in the father. In Christ, we are to know our true identity in the father. At Calvary, the son of God was lifted up, his humanity died. Satan or the flesh was put to death at the cross.
God will always forsake the flesh whose life is in it's blood. When our life is in our blood we are as a menstruous woman. When cleansed through the blood (SPIRIT) of Jesus Christ (RIVER OF LIFE) we are made holy. Our life now is through the spirit because the blood of the second Adam was shed and consumed at the cross.
The fist heaven and earth has passed away and all things are new.
(2 Cor 5:17 KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Old earth gave way to new earth. The Adam heritage of mankind comes to an end for all who will accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. The first covenant was forsaken and done away with. The flesh, blood, and all that remained of any heritage of the first Adam has to be forsaken and reborn of the spirit of our heavenly father.
The Father, Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit had to leave that fleshly body, if not, no power could have killed that body. God, or the (HOLY SPIRIT) forsook that body (THE SON, FLESH) so that the sins of the world could be placed upon that perfect sacrifice. That body of flesh became sin so that we could obtain eternal life.
When we accept Jesus we must crucify the Adam nature, we are lifted up by the power of God, as Jesus was.
(John 12:32 KJV) And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME.
(James 4:10 KJV) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall LIFT YOU UP.
When we are lifted up and become one with Jesus, we to, will draw men to the fountain of living waters.
On the fourth day of creation, man becomes conscious of covenantal relationship. The old covenant, the lesser light, is for the old nature. Our old nature was co-crucified with Christ at Calvary. We realize this when, typologically, we are about twelve years old spiritually, as I have tried to show elsewhere, at least to my understanding. Yet it is accomplished when we believe as God is not in time and space and all things are held in the seed of Christ received at that time, awaiting only their fulfillment. The law is a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. But in Christ we recognize our identity and know that our real life is hidden in him. In him we have the GREATER light. It is with agony that the nature of man cries out and feels forsaken. Yet it is giving way to the spiritual man for all of eternity.
I believe it was the Son of Man crying out on the cross with respect to forsakenness. The kinsman redeemer had accomplished his purpose and offered the perfect sacrifice.
(5.) I thirst. (John 19:28)
The thirst of Jesus was for all righteousness to be fulfilled. We must be hungry for the word and thirst after righteousness.
(Mat 5:6 KJV) Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
When Jesus said "I thirst," He already knew that all had been accomplished. His mission was complete and it was a total success. When we come into covenantal relationship, Christ in us the hope of glory, we know that we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit, or God. The seed has fallen on good ground and has come forth. We can wear our helmet of salvation securely, knowing that no man can take away what Christ has given us, the seed is now secure. The Christ within us is athirst. This thirst will bring forth all kinds of new life. The well overflows to those around us. The world will offer us vinegar and gall, but the thirst of the Christ within us is for the Kingdom.
Somehow I believe that even in the agony of the cross, the cry of Jesus, "I thirst," was for the abundant water of the Kingdom as he knew he had accomplished that for which he had been sent forth to accomplish. Now Jesus would be restored to his former glory dwelling only in spirit. Carnal minds do not understand such thirst. False prophets can only offer vinegar but remember that they use hyssop.
I believe that Paul knew this same thirst for the fullness of the waters of the Kingdom, at the time that his ministry was fulfilled.
(2 Tim 4:7 KJV) I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (2 Tim 4:8 KJV) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
(6) It is finished. (John 19:30)
The flood was a type and shadow of God bringing an end unto all flesh in the natural. Jesus would accomplish this completely in the spiritual.
(Gen 6:12 KJV) And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. (Gen 6:13 KJV) And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
God would destroy the Old Heavens and the Old Earth by fire. God, the Holy Ghost his word, is the all consuming fire.
(Mat 24:35 KJV) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
(Rom 8:3 KJV) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (Rom 8:4 KJV) That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Rom 8:5 KJV) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. (Rom 8:6 KJV) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Rom 8:7 KJV) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (Rom 8:8 KJV) So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
When Jesus said "It is finished." He knew that the end of all flesh that was carnal would be destroyed in the saints; now He announced it to the world. He had done everything necessary to bring us into his image, and finished his course. The new creation or the new heavens and the new earth would be spoken into existence through his word.
It is on the sixth day of creation that man comes forth into the image of Christ Jesus starting as a babe. As we grow by bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit in abundance, having overcome the temptations of the flesh, the wicked one has been placed under our feet, we now bear God's image in his fullness through his spirit that others might see and partake of the river that flows from our belly. Our Lord has done his work in us and it is finished when we are like him. After maturity and perfection we remain in his rest and Sabbath.
(1 Cor 15:24 KJV) Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. (1 Cor 15:25 KJV) For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. (1 Cor 15:26 KJV) The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death (SIN). (1 Cor 15:27 KJV) For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. (1 Cor 15:28 KJV) And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
We as sons do now through the spirit of God what Jesus did. The Son ship of Jesus is done away with in the ones that know he was God manifested in the flesh, and that the flesh was used as the final sacrifice for the sins of mankind. The Son ship still continues in us until our course is finished.
We reign as kings and priest over all powers of the enemy.
(Luke 10:19 KJV) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and OVER ALL THE POWER of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Only the sons of God have power over the last enemy death (SIN).
(John 11:26 KJV) And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
I no longer know Jesus as the Son of God after the flesh, his Son ship has been done away with. The flesh was destroyed at the cross for all of us. I NOW know Jesus as King of kings, and Lord of lords. We are now the body and the Son of God until our coarse is finished also.
(2 Cor 5:16 KJV) Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now HENCEFORTH KNOW WE HIM NO MORE.
The end of all flesh of the first Adam has been done away with in Christ Jesus. It truly is finished through the death of Jesus Christ and our death in him.
(7.) Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit. (Luke 23:46)
Jesus was completely at rest in the Father or spirit. He returned unto being spirit only. When I lay down this old tabernacle I have totally commended my spirit unto my heavenly father.
On the seventh day of their creation, those in Christ Jesus are completely at rest in the Father. There is nothing left of sinful flesh that would take us from the temple for even a brief moment. Our walk is fully in the spirit. Our spirit has been commended fully into the hands of the Father, and through Christ Jesus at Calvary.
(Heb 4:1 KJV) Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. (Heb 4:2 KJV) For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. (Heb 4:3 KJV) For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. (Heb 4:4 KJV) For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. (Heb 4:5 KJV) And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. (Heb 4:6 KJV) Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: (Heb 4:7 KJV) Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. (Heb 4:8 KJV) For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. (Heb 4:9 KJV) There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
We must completely allow our spirit to be in Christ Jesus, it is sad, but most people never make that one hundred percent commitment. We who have entered into his rest and have committed our spirit to God, always walk with him.
(Rev 3:20 KJV) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will COME IN TO HIM, and WILL SUP with him, and HE WITH ME.
Again we have his promise:
(Heb 13:5 KJV) Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.
He did it all at Calvary.
